We differ from lawn treatment companies because we actually maintain lawns everyday, all year round, so we know first hand what stresses the lawn is going through.
We treat every lawn individually because every lawn is different and will have different needs. Soil types will vary from clay based to sandy, light levels vary from full sun to shade, grass species from fine leaved to coarse strong growing species, and the regular maintenance schedule to name a few parameters that make all lawns different.
We only undertake lawn treatment work when the conditions are correct, not because we booked you in on a particular day, and will, if necessary, rebook the treatment whether that's a fertiliser application, herbicide treatment or work such as scarifying.
We only use professional, specialised turf treatments from specialist suppliers and we have specialist turf and agronomy experts that we can call on should we need additional technical advice.
We don't use cheap fertilisers that need reapplying every 6 weeks but fertilisers that last 3 - 4 months so less treatments per year are needed; sometimes only 2 fertiliser treatments a year are needed.
Specialist lawn fertiliser program tailored for each lawn.
We work primarily on a two application per year program, applied in spring and autumn with additional applications in summer/winter if required.
A selective herbicide that targets broad leaf lawn weeds.
Routinely applied in late spring / early summer although it can applied through the summer when conditions allow.
We alter the herbicides we use to prevent weed chemical resistance forming.
Iron treatments that will kill moss in the lawn.
Ideally this is planned with scarifying a few weeks later. Over seeding may also be required if the moss was sufficiently bad.
Typically early spring or early autumn
Various methods to break the soil surface to allow air to penetrate the soil.
Some examples are spiking, slitting and hollow tine aeration.
An assessment of the lawn will be required first.
A petrol powered machine that removes dead moss and thatch from the base of the lawn.
It has many benefits and for a high quality lawn, it is a recommended yearly treatment.
Typically early spring or early autumn and normally corresponding with an earlier moss treatment.
Severely poor lawns will need renovation work and may need reseeding after moss killing, scarifying and weed killer treatments.
Very poor lawns can be removed and re turfed if necessary.
We don't normally take photos of the work we do, we just do our job.
Only when a team member is doing training would we take photos in support of their work, making sure that the property is unidentifiable for security.
So these are just a few examples, not necessarily our best work, but a representation of some of the work we do.
